"Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: For He is good, for His mercy endures forever,”that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God." 2 Chronicles 5:13-14

Hello Family,   I pray you are all well and that each day proves to carry new grace for you to accomplish all that needs to be done.

The Power of One Sound

Nothing releases the power of the Holy Spirit like unity among God’s people. We can recount many stories in scripture, both in the Old and New Testament, where the people of God came together, and it resulted in a powerful outpour of the Spirit of God. Today, I want us to look at a story in the Old Testament in 2 Chronicles 5. The back story here is that King Solomon just completed the building on the temple and he gathers musicians to sing praises unto God. In verse 13 and 14, the Bible tells us that

“when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord…the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,  so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.”

Their simple act of coming together as ONE and as ONE SOUND released the Glory of God! By coming into unity in spirit and truth, we too, can experience a great manifestation of the Glory of God! As we continue in this fast, let’s ask God to renew our minds and help us shift from an “I” mindset to a “we” mindset. I pray that we can begin to lay aside every mindset that polarizes us from each other. I pray that the Spirit of Christ would begin to bind us together, in purpose and in love. So that together, motivated by one purpose and motive, we may raise a single sound of praise that would release the Power of the Holy Spirit among us like never before.

Much love,

Pastor Andi
